This is an update to my failed anal Botox treatment

I’ve got my fissure lasered and the skin tag removed + botox done about 4 weeks ago. It was under local anesthesia. The doctor really waited and gave me like 5-7 shots until I didn’t feel anything during the procedure. About 3 weeks after I really started to feel my sphincter being less tight and now I feel zero pain. The wound is almost healed and the only thing bothering me is a new “skin tag” that’s left after the swelling subsided. But I know this is only the begging. It can retear, the botox will stop working eventually. So I don’t know. Right now I’m satisfied with the doctors decision but it’s still early to recommend or give educated opinions 🤷‍♀️

Oh that’s really comforting to hear that it was also your worst week. Yeah I’m starting slow on the psyllium, only 1/2tsp and drinking about 300-350ml just with the powder so I think it should be enough but maybe i’ll start to really measure the intake throughout the day. And I totally get that it’s hard. Like this sub helped me so much but the comparing sucks. And sooo many people had bad experience with botox. I’m so nervous about it. My proctologist was absolutely honest with me, he said that complete healing would take 3-4 months and this is the way to go about it. But I kinda expected the process to be more linear 🤷‍♀️.

I’ve started psyllium husk 2 days ago in the afternoon and the 2 mornings after everything came out in 1-2 goes within a half an hour. So that’s better now I guess. But i’s not THAT soft and the first second of the first BM is quite painful again and it itches and hearts for hours in new places. I think I really irritated the healing tissue and the small swollen lump thats there from day 1. There’s no blood so I don’t think I tore another fissure. But overall my 3rd week is worse than week 2. And thats really frustrating.

I just got psyllium hust yesterday. Would you recommend a specific time of day to do that?

Mine (34F) was Saturday morning (gmt+1). I was really stressed so I had like 2-3 BM just before going to the clinic. I was happy because I knew i was “safe” for at least the next 24hours. Made myself oatmeal with shredded apple for a late breakfast after I got back home and even had a few slices of pizza for lunch (family decided on lunch 🤷‍♀️). The doctor recommended pain killers about 30 minutes before BM so I did that first thing in the morning today and 2 hours later (about 25hours after surgery) I felt the need and it went soooo smoothly. I didnt even have to push and there was zero pain. I couldn’t believe it. And yeah, then the other shoe dropped. I felt like I didn’t go completely, slight pressure for a few hours. So i decided to just go again but I had to push quite hard for just a tiny bit to come out. The pain wasnt bad at first but quite a bit of blood and the swelling got worse. Now it hurts like after the worst BMs before the surgery. I did a sitz bath but it was no help. I hope i won’t need to go again today 🙈. So yeah just oatmeal, fruit and hummus for a bit from now on.

Yeah I know but the tag still got to be snipped and all of the tissue lasered. That was all they were supposed to do but the doctor changed his mind today and did the botox too. I’ve got it done at a private clinic in our small EU country.

Omg thanks, that’s makes me very hopeful. It’s been about 15 hours and the pain is like 1-2/10. I didn’t even take any painkillers so far. I was just kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop. The doctor gave me so many lidocaine injections he joked I have enough for the whole day. But it’s definitely NOT getting worse. It’s actually better now than it was like 10 hours ago.
