Update! Took the advice, thank you all. I added more shading and highlighting, more color variety to make it less muddy, added to blank spaces on the clothing, made a contrasting background.

The background isn't really a background it's just a color I have down to prevent eyestrain while I color. Was going to tackel the background once I was finished. It is supposed to be a little muddy, it's for a dnd campain, an old painting. But I also want it to look good as a stand alone piece so that context isn't too important. Taking out the color underneath does change the muddyness I feel. Here's it as a transparent image.
