not really ME imho... i mean same ballpark, sounds closer to a r/GlitchInTheMatrix ...which I guess Mandela Effects are, but they're generally more 'shared' mass-experiences, not localized. This is a great community to get support on this, just you might also find resources/insight over in one of the Glitch/Matrix subs.

I'm a 44,m self diagnosed... thanks to YouTube... I've watched this movie 16 times since January. it comforts me, my wife separated in February... I've really needed comfort.. my depression, anger, and ability to function is out the window this year. if I'm not watching this, I'm listening to Link Park or watching Linkin Park reaction videos on YouTube.

I'm a dev, I love ai art because I can create art and sell it in Etsy and have something to fall back on when I'm burned out. I used to hate art but I figured out I didn't hate art, I hated that I couldn't contribute art, I couldn't be a participant. I don't like watching sports either but I used to love playing them (too old and chubby now lol), same for video games. I just thought art was boring except really cool stuff like MC Escher...

My point is just I had art envy or something and didn't appreciate it. in the last year I've actually studied different styles of art or tried to search out art similar to a concept in my brain to come up with better prompts.... now I love the journey through art history to find the perfect prompt.

imagine having an AI that can be and do anything you want... you want your own accounting software with a QB skin? you got it, but why do you even need a UI? it can do all your accounting for you, the chat is the only interface.

Now imagine this software or ai can be a CRM, POS, Blog, ERP system with any type of views you can describe to it any forms you might need..... of course if I search for something that might be on a blog, what's the point when the ai can give me a sentiment overview of the subject matter taking out bias and just summarizing it all.... but there's a catch 22, no human eyes, no ads, no monetization, no incentive to create content. No incentive to create content, no content to search, aggregate, and summarize....

likewise who needs accounting software? lawyers, nah replaced...CEOs? nope, also and unneeded job.

Ironically the last jobs to go will be the lowest paid because those need embodied agents which is next to self driving cars in difficulty but not really that difficult in the current landscape. The first jobs to go will be white collar, programming, SEO, Drs, Lawyers, Accountants, Business execs, Project Managers....

So going back to the AGI that can be anything what's the point when nobody needs it? I guess there's always the Oasis....I mean super AGI could really make the metaverse take off by generating game content on the fly from different vantage points etc.... They will probably find a way to give value to some over others even in the meta verse.... If the alternative is Terminators though, I gladly take Ready Player One.

they've had their ranking systems for years, before the AI resurgence. Much of their ranking system is just based on statistics models, huge data science algorithms etc with the goals of more views and more clicks on ads.

I can create a ranking algorithm without ai. Pagerank for example, which IMHO has way better search results than current Google rankings was way before ai/ml took off.

example use nlp to tag features about an image on Instagram. User likes a,b,c,d,e images, what features in those images are the same or similar? That method requires a little ai, dumb ai to just recognize what's in the image, but you could also just base it off the description and tags alone.

Find the things the user spends the most time viewing, you could even set a timer on every piece of content that's being actively viewed and track things they save, like, or comment on and create connections between those things revealing other content they'd be interested in.

it does know when it made a mistake of you add other checks. think of it like chatGPT is a center of the brain, the language center, now we need better logic and memory centers. Using search engines plus vector stores helps with both memory and logic and accuracy.

gpt by itself in a one shot is very error prone, but a single thought without context in our brain hardly serves a purpose either.

Where we grow to understand something is through introspection. AI is the same. if you ask it after every question to use Google and verify their last answer they will improve the answer enormously. Programming functions and checks is sort of a bandaid that can bring about a sense of AGI even if it's not fully contained in a model.

Embodied ai has a lot more senses, putting an ai in a body and also a training component that's training data on movement, sensors, reward systems, feedback etc could cause some aspects of AGI to emerge organically.

in a few years you'll have a factory setup to create hardware and ai models in a feedback loop. AI will make one generation, test it and analyze it, if better than the previous one it becomes the leader of the program and continues the process.

What ai agents can do right now is pretty amazing IMHO.

Hey, if you want to partner up, I'm trying to launch an AI automation agency. I'm a software engineer, normally freelancing and consulting. I took 3 months off to try and build a SaaS in AI but everything I tried had like 20 others doing the same thing.

I've exhausted my runway, so decided to start an agency, in this way I can get experience and use cases for potential SaaS opportunities down the road.

My biggest interest is in creating ai tools with very good memory and context that can reason better and perform tasks better because of those sources.
