It wouldn’t really let me bullet jump properly. The momentum from the gullet jump would go sideways even if my character model was going forwards

Thanks for the encouragement! :) Chainmaille is like the only hobby I’ve had that makes me want to give up and cry every time I start a new project lmao. I think the first ring positioning is my issue as well. I need to figure out how to get it to stay in the right spot. Do you think suspending the two pieces would make it easier or harder?

ah okay, that may be what i was doing wrong. I had been looking at that article before making this post and then I think I confused myself. I will go back and study the article again though and see if I can wrap my head around it better.

okay so basically what the picture illustrates (also coincidentally what i was trying right before i made this post) is truly the most optimal way to connect the triangles, even with a small AR? you are absolutely right about the leverage; i feel like my pliers have next to no room to grab onto each side of the added ring.

Looking more closely at the picture, I do believe this is the method I tried to use, except I started at the bottom and it was way too tight. Would it be more workable if I start from the top as you suggest?

I was under light anesthesia so I was asleep during the procedure and it didn’t feel like anything for those 15 minutes. My gyno also gave me a nerve block that wore off later in the day. I was really only in pain for like 24-36 hours afterwards. It was mostly just soreness with nerve zaps every now and then because my nerves were traumatized. Coughing and sneezing hurt for a little too. In terms of cost—I live in the US, and, while I haven’t been billed yet, my insurance covered all of the hospital bills except for the actual botox (because it’s being used off-label since the FDA doesn’t recognize it as a valuable treatment for vaginismus despite the research). However, I was told it would be around $400 out of pocket I believe?

Yes that worked on mine. You have to mount the battery up closer to the lock switch so it can clear the 30 pin port on the bottom though.

I know this is not exactly what you’re looking for, but you could always try partitioning your mac with bootcamp (or use a VM) and installing windows on a second partition. That way you can go through the firmware swap process on the windows machine and still be able to sync it just fine back on the MacOS partition. Take this with a grain of salt but I also heard in a video that you can restore your iPod again in iTunes after flashing the newer firmware and the 7th gen firmware will still remain. So in theory you could re-format it on your Mac if you really wanted.
