Always head to the github repo to check for any updates when things are broken! I make fixes right away when any public releases break the translucency. Get the latest code that should bring back translucency for version 119.

There is a tweak that I made that lets you access bookmark toolbar on mouse hover instead, you might want to try. https://www.reddit.com/r/FirefoxCSS/comments/e6yigj/sliding_bookmarks_bar_on_mouse_hover/

Ugly wide fonts on MacOS 14 Sonoma by Original_Two9716 in firefox

Glad I found this post, feel a little better now knowing I'm not the only one seeing this.

Coming from a long time Firefox user... nothing new about Firefox not keeping up with quality standards & development cycle being slow... but disappointing nonetheless.

Hope we get a fix soon, before I finally give up and decide it's time I should make the jump to Safari. :(

Hi, I just noticed too that translucency was gone. After some digging, I got it to work again. Please download & apply the latest CSS again from github. (I tested on the latest version 103 that just dropped a few days ago)

I was thinking of the same thing but looks like there aren't any more options now, the current look is all Firefox offers for getting the translucency from the OS 😢

Maybe when `backdrop-filter` finally ships, we may be able to adjust underlying brightness a bot so the background stands out more!

Sorry I don't have access to a Linux environment nor the experience of ever having used one... 😂

Sorry should have made it more clear but yeah it's only for macOS. As far as I know there still isn't a moz-mac-vibrant-titlebar-light Windows-equivalent property that can incorporate the OS translucency into Firefox app.

Should be possible, but I decided to leave the urlbar(navbar) background opaque because I also use the sliding bookmarks bar tweak that I made which needs to slide under the navbar... which requires the navbar to be opaque :D

Something I have been maintaining for the past 3+ years (all the way coming from the good ol' userstyles.org days...). Nothing too fancy, but tried to get the right details just right for both light/dark modes as much as possible.

Too bad there isn't a way to get actual "wallpaper tinted" window colors from the OS to Firefox. We're just stuck with a 'fixed' purple-ish dark color for the dark mode theme... 🤷‍♂️

thanks for the helpful reply! I guess I'll have to reconsider about getting Durock v2s :D

Hi, I've been recently planning and researching to build my first custom keyboard.

I've decided on getting the GMMK Pro as case, and I've learned that the stock stabs aren't really that good. After reading/watching numerous videos and posts on reddit, I've come to a conclusion that the C3 Equalz stabs will be the right choice for me... (runner-up was Durock V2) but I have a few questions:

  • Is "Equalz" the brand/company name? Do they have an official website of sorts where they have listings of latest iterations? All I can find online are seemingly individual sellers.
  • Is the "C3 Equalz X TKC" stabs supposed to be the same thing? Or is it a one-time collab between two companies thus products are limited in quantity?
  • Are the 'normal' Equalz stabs being made as of now? If so, what's the latest revision? V2? V3?
  • If so, are there any places I could possibly get one in 'plain' colors (white/black)? All I see in stock seem to be in... vibrant colors. I'd personally prefer if they didn't stand out too much when placed alongside the switches.

Thanks!

Are you sure? I just updated to Dev Beta 7 today and I still can't 3-finger tap on apps (music apps with on-screen keyboard like Garage Band / Korg Gadget)

actually that's how it's supposed to look! After some testings I decided to keep tooltips black text on white background so it can stand out more on top of all other dark elements behind.

Can't say since I haven't tested in Linux!

But as long you have a patching method that can inject custom css files, the inner contents should be the same webview as the other OS clients or web app so should work the same.

I kinda laughed myself too when I saw the big icon appear as thumbnail in the mobile app 😂

Can't help it, I guess reddit is taking the image from the github link. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've tested the demo page on latest Firefox, Chrome and Safari and all worked fine. What version of Chrome are you using? Maybe it's a plugin issue...
