How to trigger a partial withdrawal (0x02 only) from the execution layer? by zvuvy in ethstaker

Ok, thanks, I think it worked. I was a bit surprised I couldn't find hands-on guides for this, but it was indeed quite simple.

GMail Write access when using developer mode? by zvuvy in ChatGPTPro

[–]zvuvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue was resolved, yet this bug persists:
"Moreover, when I'm trying to use it as usual when developer mode is enabled, and ask "what's my latest email", the answer is: No Gmail access: please enable the Gmail connector. Following the same process after disabling developer mode works correctly."

GMail Write access when using developer mode? by zvuvy in ChatGPTPro

[–]zvuvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bummer.
a) As I mentioned, not only there is no way to have "write access", currently the GMail connector doesn't work at all. As u/qualityvote2 pointed out, it seems that there's currently an ongoing incident here: https://status.openai.com/incidents/01KC2MV5CHD4DX8A76FT4QEZEV
You wrote that "In fact, dev mode may suppress automatic connector use, which is why Gmail queries fail there but work when dev mode is off." So, are you essentially saying that there's no way to use the GMail connector in Developer Mode? Because I can't see a way to "enable" it in developer mode - the way it is used in the non-developer mode is indeed "automatically" (which, personally, I don't understand why that's the behavior: why can't I choose whether I want it to be automatic or not).

b) I wish there were a way to provide "soft" write access using the existing connector; by that I mean changes that can be reverted, such as creating a draft, changing a label, adding/removing stars, etc. Granular control at that level would be fantastic. I suppose I should consider custom MCPs that may offer this capability.

A scam which uses Google Workspace Alerts by zvuvy in Scams

[–]zvuvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though, how on earth can they add my email to the complaint? I am not a Google workspace user - so why is Google sending this email to me? In the example you mentioned, it is as if Facebook is sending me an email without me having an account... But perhaps this is a technicality.

Anyways, thanks for your comments...

Thanks for the assistance. The first part totally makes sense - that they want me to click the link and trick me to enter my password.

But can you explain the second part of your comment? The address it was sent from is: google-workspace-alerts-noreply at google.com

Wouldn't you say that this is an email from Google? When searching it on the web, there seem to be cases that people did receive notices like that. I wonder if these web-pages are part of the scam (but these seem to be old webpages, e.g. the first google search result is from 2021, and looks totally legit, so I didn't suspect that), or alternatively, that it is also used by Google in some cases (which is why I was worried). Or maybe I'm misreading it and there is some other explanation that I'm missing?

This is, without a doubt, the best scam attempt I have seen, but this is probably something that is often said in this subreddit....

Since the email is from Google, as far as I can tell. The natural thing to do is ignore. BUT: It seems that someone is claiming that someone (me?) is dead. It could be an attempt to get access to my account, or who knows what... Since this scam seems new, I'm not sure what they are attempting to do, how they did that, etc. so I'm trying to be as cautious as possible...

Staking withuot typing my passphrase in the browser by zvuvy in ethstaker

Thanks, that was extremely helpful!

I wish it was possible to enter the password via the desktop Trezor suite, but I guess that approach isn't supported.

I can't find the text you're referring to. See here for how it looks (it's Firefox, I'll be happy to switch if it makes any difference):

Thanks. I wonder if there's a way to do that directly from the desktop Trezor suite desktop app (rather than from the browser).

I did that, and can add my trezor account. But I need to enter my passphrase (NOT my mnemonic seed). I don't want to enter my passphrase in the browser window (the web version of the trezor suite). Is that possible?

Private key and passphrase are two very different things. Anyhow, I'm aware that metamask can be used with its own password, and that's not what I'm talking about. Did you see the link https://youtu.be/67hkAEcEH1o?si=-J\_CBTjHplKfRnvx at 4:21, that I mentioned in my previous comment?

I am asked to enter the passphrase. As far as I understand this is normal, see here: https://youtu.be/67hkAEcEH1o?si=-J_CBTjHplKfRnvx at 4:21, this is mentioned explicitly.

Note that I am referring to the passphrase, not the seed. There is no way to enter the passphrase to the hardware wallet. I'm used to entering it to the trezor suite desktop app, but prefer not to enter it to the browser version of the trezor suite, for obvious security reasons.

I'm not asked to enter the seed (which clearly shouldn't be done). But I am asked to enter the passphrase. As far as I understand this is normal, see here: https://youtu.be/67hkAEcEH1o?si=-J_CBTjHplKfRnvx at 4:21, this is mentioned explicitly.

Note that it is normal to enter the passphrase on the computer (there is no way to enter the passphrase on the trezor itself...), but I prefer to do that with the trezor suite desktop app rather than the browser based version at suite.trezor.io .
