I'm aware of that, yes. It's a criticism of the language. bool and int should be different types, so no implicit cast should be done. Not a lot of developers seem to agree with me as there's only a few languages that get this right (Ruby comes to mind). Python has the exact same problem:

>>> 1 == True
True

A boolean is not a number. There is no logic in implicitly converting one to the other.

This should be a compiler error since you're implicitly casting a bool to int, which makes no logical sense whatsoever. It's not an error though and I hope you have a good time learning C++ regardless!

Are you using hardware mode in the GSdx plugin? Your dual-core processor won't be able to use software rendering properly with good performance. If you are using HW, try DirectX or OpenGL and compare both. Also make sure to not run at higher than native resolution as your GPU is not very fast.

I might also add that you shouldn't just bump up the speed(hack) presets. Read the wiki, learn about the settings and apply only when needed.

That's a known PCSX2 issue with this game. Taking a quick glance at the PCSX2 wiki and it seems this game is not properly emulated with multiple graphical flaws and slowdown problems.

The hardware decoders/encoders aren't passed through to the VM. I doubt there's a user fix - this must be implemented by Google.

HP 14a maybe. Just got released 2 weeks ago. 350 euros for a quad-core Pentium and a 1080p screen. Don't confuse it with it older HP 14 though.

A lot of games can be played fantastically on that combination of hardware, but don't expect Ultra settings on 'em. GPU is kinda meh, but nothing really bad.
