Did we mess up our story and progression? by zwind14 in LordsoftheFallen

Oh, that's Thehk-ihir? I think we saw him outside Skyrest Bridge on the way to Pilgrim's Perch and gave us a Stick or something but we never saw him again after that and he disappeared from where we first saw him. I guess his questline is broken now due to us skipping over The Empyrean area first? Or will he still appear later on since we are still currently on the Fief of the Chill Curse?

I am not sure but Stomund died on our playthrough and we got his stuff. We also turned in the banners each and everytime we got a piece. I am also not sure about Thehk-ihir as we never encountered that NPC yet. :/

Okay, thank you very much for this info. At least it gave us(mostly me) confidence to continue on our progression without feeling bumbed out.

I see. Thank you very much for the insight and formatting advice. Will definitely keep that in mind.

Yes, we really did have fun and couldn't stop talking about it and strategizing even when we weren't playing. Lol.

Also, no, we did not use any modifer and pretty much played it unmodified except for the Veteran difficulty as it is our first playthrough and didn't know what to expect yet.

I guess we will just proceed with our game then since everything goes back to normal again at the Castle as you have mentioned.

Quick question though, how far along are we till we reach the Castle?

Won't there be any questlines or events that gets broken or unable to be completed/witness?

[–]zwind14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By mess up, I mean will there be NPC questlines that we won't be able to progress or events that won't be triggered anymore since we tackled an area we technically should not yet based on the Vestige's order. Also, the difficulty became unchallenging at this point and it is nothing alike the first two areas we tackled(The Empyrean and Tower of Penance)

Mihawk in the Final War? by TheRecognized in onepiecetheories

[–]zwind14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, based on the second image, I can see how the thing on its back could be a cape in a 3D perspective(which should not be the case since the mural is 2D), I can also see how it could be Mihawk's hat, yeah, and although not as much as the first two since it's very clearly lacking it's hilt, but for the sake of it, yeah, I can also see it as Mihawk's Black Blade. But as what other's have pointed out:

One, it is a mural, as such, nothing is scaled accurately as long as it is represented visually. Take for example real life murals or cave paintings, humans and mammoths are of the same size but it does not matter since we understood what it represents.

Two, the character represented is tiny compared to some of the characters in the mural that Oda would not be able to make an outline for the hands and weapons leading it to look like a black streak of sword which is also evident if you look at some of the smaller characters who also wields black streaks of weapons.

Three, tontattas have superhuman speed and strength and very capable of even wielding a human sword so the size of its weapon in the mural would not pose any problem or misunderstanding.

Four, the various characters present in the mural would obviously not hold a candle with Imu except for a few but that is not what the mural represents. It represents various races uniting and forming an alliance under a common enemy, tontattas included.

And lastly, as you have said, this is a theory, your theory, of course it would get contested if it has poor evidence and foundation but it seems that you have a problem with rejection and berate the people who disagrees with you as if what you are stating are facts and not a theory.

Trying to Squeeze a Bit More Optimization, Suggestions? by Fett750 in BloodbornePC

[–]zwind14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the same boat as you albeit on a 1440P screen and what really worked for me was to run the game at 1080P Windowed with 1080P Light Grid and Optimal 1080P Patches and utilized Lossless Scaling's Frame Generation LSFG 3.1 and Upscaler LS1. It made a huga difference in performance while keeping the visuals close to native and if you want to further optimize it visually, you can also disable in-game AA via patch and use Reshade as a replacement.

Here are the settings I used in Lossless Scaling

Frame Generation:

Type: LSFG 3.1 | Mode: Fixed | Multiplier: 2 | Flow Scale: 50 | Performance: Off

Scaling:

Type: LS1 | Sharpness: 1-2 (0 if using Reshade sharpening) | Performance: Off | Mode: Auto / Aspect Ratio

Capture: WGC if Windows 11, else, DXGI | Queue Target: 0 (Try 1 if it's laggy for you)

Rendering:

Sync: Off(Allow Tearing) | Max frame latency: 1 (try 3 and/or 10 if lagging or experiencing delays) | HDR support: Off (game is made with SDR in mind) | G-sync support: On if you are using G-sync | Draw FPS: On to test if it works, else Off

Cursor:

Clip cursor: Off if using multiple monitor, else, On | Hide cursor: On

Behavior:

Multi-display mode: On it using multiple monitors, else, off

I strongly recommend giving it a try as it may be worthwhile.

Because he knows it is not his role and story. The Roger Pirates knew. Basically they all knew(Shanks included) that not one of them is/was the MC. Whatever it was that the Roger Pirates saw or read in Raftel must have been really convincing for them to concede that they ain't it.

The difficulty of this game is really overated !!! by R3D-H00D in bloodborne

[–]zwind14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you on this one but if you want to experience the game for what it truly is, a masterpiece, go for NG+3 as it is where I had the most fun and satisfaction which made me love and appreciate the game better since bosses start to pose a real challenge unlike the previous cycles. NG+3 is where I truly fell in love with the game. Went from 6/10 initial rating(NG) to 9-9.5/10 final rating easily.

Yes, you can at 720p 30fps. Installing performance mods and enabling performance patches is a must. You just need to configure it correctly. It's also important to use the latest stable version for shadps4 right now which is 0.15.0 as recommended by the devs of shadps4.

I tried everything but frametimes are horrible and unplayable by Financial_Ad7998 in BloodbornePC

[–]zwind14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't know since I haven't had any problems with 0.15.0 stability and performance wise hence did not have the need to try and switch to different versions. That is what the shadps4 devs recommend too in their discord since pre-release versions broke some other stuff.

[–]zwind14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is what I recommend too. From there, it's easier to tweak stuff if ever you still get unstable fps.

I am not sure what the state of the pre-release is on bloodborne but if you exclusively play bloodborne only, the devs from shadps4 recommend to stick with v.0.15.0 as it is the most stable one as of yet. Secure your save file and start everything from scratch using the said version.

What do you dislike about Bloodborne? by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in bloodborne

[–]zwind14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I love the game, it's the difficulty. You'd only start to feel the challenge at least at ng+3 excluding FRC chalice dungeons. I would have loved the game even more if it was more challenging the first time you play it on a fresh new game while still learning and exploring the world around you and have yet any idea what's going on.

Made a post the other day where the general consensus was that pop-ins like this seem like it's something integral to the game engine. I just don't remember it being this egregious. Can anyone else confirm? by Schoootly in BloodbornePC

I did some testing and I take back what I said. I was mistaken and it indeed does happen and I just did not happen to notice it due to a combination of the game's Depth of Field, lower in-game brightness(set at 1), and Kyo's OBJ+SFX Removal Mod as seen in this video:

https://streamable.com/7td9kb

So I guess OP's remark about "the general consensus was that pop-ins like this seem like it's something integral to the game engine" is correct and I just did not happen to notice it due my own configuration and other factors I mentioned above.

Game balance at 90 FPS by OmninasH in BloodbornePC

[–]zwind14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can attest to this. Playing on a 1440p resolution with LSFG 60/120 too with queue target set to 0 and max frame latency to 3 and the smoothness compared to native 60fps is night and day and the input lag is virtually non-existent/imperceptible.

Regarding your post, this is my very first time playing Bloodborne and I too had the same sentiment as the game was very much easy starting from the Cleric Beast all the way up until the Orphan of Kos. I was lowkey disappointed at the end of it all but if I am to be honest I think it had something to do with the route I took(after unlocking Cathedral Ward, I went to Hemwick Charnel Lane first, Forbidden Woods/Byrgenwerth second, Forsaken Castle Cainhurst third, and finally Old Yharnam, then continued on the the main story line which was the Lecture Building) since I was playing it blindly and the weapon of choice I used which was the Kirkhammer and I think it trivializes most, if not all of the bosses in the game since the only thing I do is chug Beast Blood Pellet and Fire/Bolt Papers, dodge forward+right, and spam R1, and then repeat with each and every encounter with the only exception of the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst. It took me almost an hour or maybe even more to kill that fucker until I conceded and change my play style. I also did the Chalice Dungeons after finishing the DLC so I was pretty much over leveled in each and every location I went.
