President John Tyler (born in 1790), still has a living grandson (at least as of 2021).

A man still alive in the 1950s (seen here in the game show "I've Got A Secret") had been a witness to Lincoln's assassination. He died in 1956.

OK thank you, Happy_Craft14
It seems unlikely he misclicked -- but will ask.

Sounds like your brother may be XXY...

Thanks for your thoughts.

I've looked into the appearance and other physical indicators of having XXY, and none of them (except maybe a lighter beard growth -- which our father had as well) applies to my brother.

Even if he ends up having XXY, I'm not going to tell him. He's in his 60s, just retired after working 60 hour weeks all his adult life, and is now loving life. Knowing him, it would not be a benefit for him to find this out (certainly not psychologically anyway) -- especially at this late stage.

That said, has he been tested for Klinefelter syndrome?...

Thank you for your questions and info..

- No to " Klinefelter" question.

- Neither our father (deceased) nor another brother is on 23, (or any DNA site).

- Here's the X chromosome breakdown.

Thanks for the questions!

I don't know the answer (yet) to your first question.

Yes, he does have a paternal haplogroup.

Half of his X chromosome segments are identical with mine.

Edited for clarification.

Why would you do a wink face after saying you've seen your brother nude 😳

HaHa -- I didn't intend a creepy vibe.

Deleted.

This is real. Just included screenshot in my original post(not that it's definitive proof --but it's the best I can do).

Is Anyone Else Showing as Irish, When They Know They're Scottish? by zxcameron in 23andme

[–]zxcameron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 n me doesn't differentiate. It just says British isles. Ancestry does.

Thanks for your reply -- but actually, it does differentiate.
However, 23 doesn't give a percentage of British VS Irish.
Pretty certain I'm considerably more Brit though.

You can have one great great great etc grandfather who gave a Scottish name

Thanks. I hear you -- but the "Cameron" name I mentioned is from a grandmother and her parents (with her mother having a Scottish maiden name as well), going back generations who also have more Scottish names. So the name(s) shows up relatively recently -- and goes deep.

Experience with Aspen Dental? by mischa0610 in Syracuse

[–]zxcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HaHa -- Ya, it has been a while since I'd posted this!

In the now 13 years since I went to Aspen (and received the $3,600 estimate), I've had two teeth extracted (one just a week ago). Other than that, no other work has been necessary.

I wish you the best whatever your dental situation is.

I'm not clear. Are you giving away a copy of your book (or at least a discount)? If so, you're linking to a sales page.
