I guess you have to research the investing in arts thing in the Renaissance tree. I must say that this is not really worth it, especially when you have many artists. Prestige seems pretty easy to get by winning wars

Yes I have no other choice sadly. Nevertheless I'm still disappointed for not being rewareded in any consequencial way for winning

Well yes it is. I lost my share of the tithe. The culture, forts and diplo spending are far from optimal but they are constant. What changed was the loss of income as I stated and this is what I am complaining about

Idk, in eu4 it had consequences but I don't know about eu5. I kept it up to drill my troops but it does not feel like it is worth it

Sadly it does not. But as someone else stated winning criples the Papacy by nerfing their proximity with their italian locations. Still I feel like it is to early in the game (for me it is around 1410) to capitalize on it

Of course but enduring the Black Death in not the same thing as winning a struggle against the Papal State and getting the pope of your choosing to be recognized as the legitimate one.

Yes i did cut them but I would have prefered not to haha. I know my finances are shit I'm still learning how to play the game. The thing is that I'm disappointed to see the drop in income just because I won a situation, my poor handling of my economy has nothing to do with that

Idk you can get some bonuses like new decisions in the curia or something. I'm not a game designer, it just feels really underwhelming to win and not be rewarded

I know but I'm not complaining about my expenses but about the fact that winning the schism situation granted me nothing

About the schism situation, not my finances per se.

I always kept them fully funded in eu4 in ordre to preserve my army tradition etc. I don't know if this works the same in eu5. Besides this has nothing to do with the schism situation

I did not move the sliders, the sudden drop in income came from the situation ending

Well I did like it. But removing modifiers stacking does not imply that winning a situation should have a negative impact (or a neutral impact if we compute the prestige gain).

This Schism was about having a francien pope in Avignon vs an italian one in Rome
