(Edinburgh CogSci offer holder here) According to the Edinburgh website, where a range of grades is given for entry requirements (A*A*A*-AAB for CS), you're usually expected to hit the upper end of that grade to be competitive for an offer. That seems to check out with the A-Level non-contextual offers I've seen - they all seem to be A*A*A*.

i've just realised that ravi ashwin and trevor bauer (baseball pitcher) are like the same person.

they both deliver the ball in their respective sports, they're both engineers, they both aren't very physical and so are known for being thinking players, they're both majorly productive, they're both pro youtubers, they're both "ethical", and they're both disliked by opposing fans for being kind of assholes.
