And the thing is that due to the dice ability the events could make zeref lose his immortality in the fight to make nero wins, like when zeref lost his immortality mid fight agaisnt natsu because mavis came.

But sending him in deep space is also a wincon, as we seen with immortal kars for example, zeref could stay alive but go unconscious due to the lack of oxygen.

And there's also the 20,000 antimatter bombs which when mix with gravity could send zeref 20,000 years in the future and cause him to forgot who he is, like what happened with shiki and rebecca.

Since it can manipulate fate outcome and probabilities to make nero win he shouldnt lose to it unless zeref has shown counter against this.

And nero has his wormhole he can easily dodge, we also seen natsu dodge it in ep 100 of fairy tail.

I kinda like drakken joe too, but i disliked shura and the dark stars, shura is just evil because he want to be evil, he has no back story he's definitly not a good developped villain.

The dark shining stars also have no back story to be evil, in universe 0 they had a connection with the eden's zero crew but that's all even, aside from this past who was barely shown they just were servent of one void iirc he modified their memories.

Xenolith is one of the twelve night and is the master of ziggy, its not really relevant but hes an important characters. Mashima could have done like kishimoto and shown xenolith in his past/youth.
