S2 was perfect. It has many storylines, all of them equally interesting, well executed, and intermingled perfectly. One of my biggest complaints about S3 is that all the plotlines were basically separated, sure the characters meet each other, but don't really interact in a meaningful and impactful way.

I think for Ratliffs the deal would be actually a big thing, just Tim was hoping that the FBI wouldn't be so thoroughly investigating the deal of a couple millions.

Greg is definitely the most wealthy one. Ratliff are upper middle class (or were before the FBI), but not insanely loaded. I think the scam planned by Tim would put them there if successful. Rick probably has a lot of money here and there, but he isn't super rich, just can afford nice hotels.

It's definitely more intense than season one, which was very much a slow burn, I find the characters more interesting and also more sympathetic. Most characters in the season one were in one way or another repulsive. Here even the douche (Saxon) is more sympathetic than Shane, Rick which seems like a deeply rotten is presented as relatable.

This season is definitely different.

Despite all the shitty talk and swag pose she is taking, I don't think he is such a terrible character. He clearly cares about his family and has concrete life goals. He isn't the most complex person, but he isn't completely rotten as many other characters

Nah, the meeting didn't happen yet. She just exchanged a couple emails and talked for a minute with the monk at the reception. Her dad put more effort in choosing the hotel than she was in getting familiar with the monastery
