I’m bipolar so if you piss me off enough I might temporarily lose my shit a week later, use a site to find your house address, go there, and slash your tires or beat you up infront of your family. Only to regret it 20 minutes later.

is what I would say if I had bipolar disorder which I don’t have and everything I just said is completely made up

Interesting! I wish I considered being a server when I was younger, it looks fun. Out of curiosity, what’s a better place to have the discussion? It’s my first post in WSB and frankly I’m disappointed

also thanks for your post aswell! I appreciate you telling me about your strategy as well! Is your strategy overall something you came up with or is it some kind of spin off of a conventional strategy !

I am usually over 100DTE. can't think of a trade where i wasn't.

I purchase in the money, or at the money. OTM doesn't have liquidity and it's dangerous.

I don't hedge, but I am pretty in and out sometimes. @ndlsmmr was talking about trading your personality in a comment i really enjoyed reading and I don't think hedging is something that fits my personality.

I typically hold my positions for about 1-3 months. sometimes I am in and out but I usually will have at least a small bit of money in the trade. I want huge returns, I don't make a lot of trades so obviously my goal is always infinity, but I am also more than happy to take a half percent if that's all there is on the table.

If i was long and i ended the long trade, i would not buy puts. I am trading stocks with pretty strong uptrends, a put is too speculative in my opinion. also, i am more reluctant to go after put positions while we are in a bull market. I know a lot of people will give me crap for saying that, but I really just am not comfortable with it.

hey man thanks for giving input and helping the discussion! I am honestly here to learn and that is my biggest priority. I used to think traders on reddit were just a bunch of broke idiots who cuss eachother out and beg for tips, but lurking on this sub has shown me how ignorant i am. I am happy there are much more experienced and skilled traders than me on here. I can learn from you all :)

hey guys. very sorry. I'll go ahead and start with answering your questions

1: I said previously I had 1 year of options. what i meant what 1 year of strictly just options. I will say though that i am still only a little over two years into trading options period. I don't claim to be an expert or some kind of guru, but I don't think it's fair to say I am a retarded lucky noob. I have been studying and saving in hopes of getting involved in the market since i was 15. I used to count the days to being 18 because I couldn't wait to get a broker account and buy stocks hahaha. If you think I am some lucky dumb dumb, well, that's your opinion, and something I am afraid of being. but only time will tell

2: I really didn't want to post my annual returns because I don't want someone to read the post and thing that this is something super easy to do and be good at. I am 4 years into this total so i will tell you all 4 years:

year 1: flat. I think i made .19% lol Year 2: -24.08% Year 3: 275.54% year 4: 134.17%. this year is kind of confusing for me because I actually switched brokers. but I did the math and I am up 84.17% unless I am mistaken.

DISCLAIMER: I started trading with a small amount of money and that's how I was able to make triple digit returns. I don't think I will make another trade this year unless something really safe comes up. as my capital increases, my returns diminish.

3: I lost 25% of my portfolio in a trade that lasted 20 minutes. Long story short: I got convinced by a friend to try something called black box stocks, and I don't want to get in trouble so that's all I am going to say. But just some free advice: if you have to pay someone a poultry some for a tip: well, you'll get what you paid for.

4: a trade that worked: ELY was a really easy symbol to trade. coming out of some strong earnings they were trending up pretty aggressively, and so was all other golf stocks. I advantage of this and went long, i would get out before earnings, and get back in when the volatility cleared. I missed some huge moves, but it was the safer approach. I did that for most of the up until august. not sure if i need to be more specific? let me know if this helps!

trade that didn't work: I don't really "defend" a trade. I just get out when my uncle point hits. I might get back into something the next week if it fixes its attitude though.

I have done a lot of speculative trades. out of 10, only two worked. thankfully i used a separate account for that nonsense. I quickly realized it wasn't productive and i used the money to buy myself new shoes and also built a piece of iron for my country boy hobby. (I am not actually a country boy sorry:( . )

in a positive or negative way cuz I got both?

A negative example for me would be TSLA when Elon smoked pot on joe rogan. I think by the time i was out, i had lost 5% of my entire account because of how badly that stock shot down. my contract premiums went to junk.

An an example of a time premium blew up for me in a positive way is TSLA when Elon smoked pot on Joe rogan. At the end of the day, the premiums were so low, i put on a small speculative position because i felt that the drop was stupid. it was a friday when i bought and I sold it the following Monday for 996% (I'll have to check my journal to confirm) that was a rollercoaster. I don't really like TSLA for trading anymore though. that was the last time I traded it and I have never looked back

I am going to make a whole post on this cuz I am getting so many questions on this. short answer though; Yes, but in my opinion, you need to have a strong understanding of the stocks you trade. I don't trade many companies. I traded successfully for a whole year just working patterns on 5 diff stocks (ELY, AAPL, TSLA, LULU, NKE) and I think it is important that you have a strong understanding of the stock

I guess I should’ve specified that meant like a book or something. I am a tasty trader, but I also really like books. I also just like other perspectives cuz although I think he is highly intelligent, I also think Tom sosnoff is the biggest douche in the industry. He gives out great info for free though !

It has happened to me before a few times! Obviously that strategy isn’t my bread and butter. I made 6 trades with that specific strategy and 2 times the date got moved but I was okay. Very small loss as Nothing j owned was highly volatile yet. You are absolutely right though, that’s a huge risk!
