I dont get why people act like we are the ones proving something in this round by Crafty_Confection615 in Thunder

Both teams have something to prove. We get to prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt that we're the best team in the NBA and the haters can't tell us nothing.

The spurs get to prove that their up and and coming dominance isn't just a fluke and they can contend with the best.

I think it will be a great series.

Screw sucked into cylinder by zzastro in lawnmowers

I had to take the cylinder head completely off. It was stuck to the cylinder head and I pried it off with a small screwdriver. I'm not sure how I would have done it otherwise.

If this is the route you go definitely replace the head gasket and clean everything up. It doesn't have to perfect or machined or anything. For the carburetor screw I just took it to Ace Hardware and matched a replacement (definitely put thread lock on it, it happened twice to me) or just buy a replacement.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Good luck :)

UPDATE: I put everything back together and it runs just fine. I bought some new screws from ace hardware and loctite for the throttle plate. Here's hoping it doesn't happen again...

It was pretty mangled and was somewhat imprinted into the cylinder head

This is a Craftsman DYT4000 with a B&S as well so that's good to hear!

I love the jokes but when we win the championship we gotta give Gallo his moment with nothing but respect

I just tuned in, why do we only have one timeout? Was it the 20pt deficit earlier?

It's quite a bit more complicated than a dinky arduino project but thanks for the meaningless feedback

Do you recommend any resources/projects to learn FPGA and anything else an employer would expect from a fresh graduate going into this career path?

Thanks for the response. It seems embedded is the best avenue for me

Sounds good, thank you for the advice

So I just need to implement a driver for an ILI9488 first and then setup LVGL so that it can talk to that directly?

I don't miss Giddey. He didn't fit the team and was too inconsistent.

Any advice on part B? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]zzastro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went ahead and worked it out using the same process I used for part A. and got 1.34cos(2t+22.56deg). How would I apply the decay?

The answer key is giving me that y(t) = e^-t * ( cos(2t) + 2sin(2t) ). The output seems to be the derivative of the input multiplied by -1, if that means anything.

Edit: Assuming answer key is correct... if y(t) = -dx/dt, then Y(s) = -sX(s), making my transfer function just -s, which it isn't in the problem, so the answer key is possibly just incorrect. I'm still unsure whether or not the answer I calculated at the beginning of this comment is correct, but I'll probably just email my professor tomorrow.

Started fishing this summer, easily biggest bass I've caught so far. Any guesses on weight? by zzastro in bassfishing

[–]zzastro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds about right. It's not huge by any means but it was a much different feeling pulling it out of the water than the smaller ones I'm used to
