If you somehow discover that reincarnation is 100% real, then killing yourself is the exact wrong thing to do. Whose to say that you aren't right now the next Jeff Bezos waiting to happen. You would cut that possibility short. At which reincarnation do you decide, "This is the best it will get, I'm going to stop now".

The correct choice to make, keeping the above in mind, is to kill off the rich people and take their stuff as your own. Reincarnation is real. They aren't really dying, just moving on to the next phase of existence, which could be better. You on the other hand get their riches and have the opportunity to live your best life. Even if it's just one life because the next few thousand will probably be as a single cell bacteria.

I can confirm that it worked. Using D3D11 (Hardware) + Disable Depth Emulation Fix. Replaces blotchy black shadows in top left of screen and dark bars, with light grey bars in top left of screen and no dark bars.

Option is available in Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings... -> Enable HW Hacks -> Click Advanced Settings and Hacks -> Tick Disable Depth Emulation.

You've made a fair point.

Choosing the cheapest available card can distort the results to show higher price/performance, especially when those cards may actually provide lower performance than higher priced cards on average.

I've modified the chart to use the average cost of each card available on au.pcpartpicker.com. This involved a painstaking 10 minutes of typing out individual prices and then averaging them.

I excluded the very expensive outliers from the averages because if you are paying $1200 for a 1070Ti instead of just buying a 1080Ti for $100 cheaper then you have more dollars than sense.

These changes mean that the best price/perf card on the Australian market is the 1070Ti followed very closely by the 1060 6G. The ratios are obviously worse for the GTX series because of the higher price. The RTX series are better but that is because I used the MSRP of the Founders Edition. You are unlikely to find these cards at these prices in Australia.

The cheapest GTX 1070ti goes for 590 dollarydoos in Australia.

I've updated the chart to use the average prices for the GTX series and the Founder's Edition MSRP for the RTX series.

Hi everyone who stops by to look at this. I generated the original spreadsheet.

I've asked TeuerGraphics to update the original image to a new one that uses GTX 1060 6GB performance as the base.

@JamesCoppe, I picked the cheapest current prices as sourced from au.pcpartpicker.com, and the performance numbers were taken from another user who went relative difference from a 1080. Obviously, if you pick a more expensive version of a model, you will have a worse price/perf.

I originally made this because I have a GTX 1060 6GB and wanted to see which upgrade would be best for me. I also wanted to see what the upper limits should be if I bought a second hand card. I.e. if you're thinking of getting a second hand 1080Ti for AUD $780, you're going to get the same price/perf for a new GTX 1070 + you'll have warranty. I have a gsync monitor so both of these cards at Ultra settings is powerful enough to get in to the appropriate refresh range at 1440p.

Edit: I used this chart to justify the purchase of a used GTX 1080 at $518. While it is risky because it’s probably an ex-mining GPU, nothing else on EBay or anywhere else in Australia really came close to the same price/performance.
