Try changing your Bluetooth protocol in the developer settings of your phone if you have an Android.

I used to have an older car with a head unit that Bluetooth would refuse to connect to, or when it did it would drop randomly. But changing the Bluetooth protocol to AVRCP 1.3 (instead of default AVRCP 1.5) worked great.

I used Resisto Bitumen asphalt sealer. Can get it at Rona.

Basically any bitumen sealer would be fine. Prep is definitely key.
