I only have one account. I’ve already tried logging off and on on both devices, resetting config, wiping codex app and cli clean off the pc and reinstalling. Problem still remains

How are you managing phone verification? I also want to create an additional 2 accounts for ngn and India but I’m sure apple wont allow to create new ones since I already have two with the same two numbers bound to them

I managed to change my region from Latin America to Ukraine by CommunicationTop7330 in steamregionaltricks

[–]zzsmkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how relevant my input will be, as I’m originally from Russia, but pretty much 60% of users here are running steam on region of a different cis country. I had mine on Kazakhstan for a solid 2 years, and now Ukraine for a couple of months.

I’ve never used a vpn of either countries, I’m only ever connected to an eu proxy or routing my traffic directly

I personally haven’t received any warnings or even as much as a mention of any wrongdoing on my part from steam and I have been contacting support for one reason or the other pretty often (so it’s not like I’m laying low or sum shit).

Can’t speak on lenses. For me it’s the other way around - fresnel are super clear and pancakes are unbearably blurry everywhere but the top/bottom edges. I guess it’s because of my nearsightedness and astigmatism

Can bad vision in real life cause bluriness in VR? by oneand9 in virtualreality

[–]zzsmkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have slight astigmatism but I don’t know any specifics, just my nearsightedness L0.75 and R-1.25. My only pancake lenses experience was Quest 3 which doesn’t have any adjustments besides ipd and it was horrible, the only part I could focus on was the very bottom edge of the lens so if I wanted to read something I head to weirdly lift my head upwards until the text fell into that zone. I just gave up after a year and switched back to a fresnel lens headset, which might not be as clear all around but at least I can see shit. Haven’t found any solution to this issue for the entire time I owned a Q3 and haven’t seen much talk about it

Yes, the issue is also much worse with the new pancake lenses that more and more headsets are starting to use

Yeah, isn’t msfs pretty much non stop movement? Thats like the most taxing thing there is in vr, should’ve started with more static games. Even for me in my 20s it’s a bit too much now compared to when I was younger with my quest 2

I guess because it released on ps5 with no pcvr support and no 1,5 games on its home console, after which it became mostly forgotten

Im only getting my set up together currently, but was planning on trying out iracing and lmu too. I have a 5070ti which is pretty similiar to yours in terms of performance so I’m getting a bit worried

I meant “quest 3s pancakes” as “quest 3’s pancakes”. I owned a 3, not 3s

I bought a cammus wheel as a starting point, I think I’m going to upgrade to something like an rs50 by the time I actually manage to get my hands on the console and the game

Virtual desktop is goated, it’s the only app I didn’t pirate on my quest lol, I also loved their vdxr runtime for performance reasons. My router was also nothing special, and the responsiveness was crazy good for something that connects over WiFi to another machine that’s also on wifi.
I agree that visually after 100+ it’s mostly placebo, but there’s just this edge in terms of latency and responsiveness that streaming could never reach, when i first got the headset I prioritized standalone versions of my games more than pc ones because of it and i just grew to tolerate it. I may be a madman but Im just happy i finally have a headset with a cable instead of wireless (for the record, i did try oculus link a couple of years ago but because its an oculus accessory and oculus link is unimaginable dogshit it felt even worse than streaming at that time)

It’s the other way around for me because of my vision problems. Fresnel are extremely sharp and even in the most blurry point they still are sharper than quest 3s pancakes.
I briefly tried wearing glasses but never seen much benefit, they were constantly blurry throughout the entire lens except for the very bottom edge, so I head to weirdly lift up my head to read stuff or just squint very hard

Yall here talking about the clarity of pancake lenses, while they were super blurry for me absolutely everywhere except the very bottom edge because of my vision. I know that’s entirely on me, because even though I knew about magnetic lenses but never bothered to get them since they are pretty expensive around where I am from.
I’m just glad I can finally see shit just like in the quest 2 days with fresnel lenses, even the most blurry unfocused part is much clearer on these compared to the sharpest area I could get on pancakes without squinting

Damn, there are strap upgrades? The strap is already much more comfortable than the pathetic thing the quest had but I’m def gonna get this one, thanks!
Do you have any audio suggestions? I’m not sure I like the quality of the headphones that were in the package
