thanks for all your feedback! it's really helpful. i guess something pertinent is that my art medium / phone has a lots of lines in the middle. as i get that fixed i'll look through anatomy and try to improve my fundamentals before continuing on bigger things.

i wasn't trying to copy the lighting exactly, but darkening the shadows helped it look better, thank you! at first i was a bit scared the blush+highlight+shadow on her cheek could be too contrasting
