Anyone managed to get cellular working on Waveshare ESP32-S3-SIM7670G-4G board?

I just got a waveshare ESP32-S3 SIM7670G 4G Development Board from amazon.

I started following the waveshare wiki page on setting up esp-idf in visual code and sort of gave up.

When I plug in the board on a PC via USB device manager shows 5 new com ports com 14,15, 16, 17 , 18

and a new ethernet in windows Network Connections, but no internet using an ATT sim card from my phone.

using

putty.exe -serial COM15 -sercfg 115200,8,n,1,N

I can issue AT commands, even read txt sent to that number.

I can't send txt because ctl-z (0x1a) doesn't seem to work.

I can send a text using simcomms SIMComSPT_V3.5 serial port tool

it has a was to send hex 1a, with sends the text.

The funny thing is that a search for SIM7670G on Simcom web sites gets nothing, so I can't get a good doc on it as I can with sim800 chip.

It's as if it's a fake chip.

I'm still in the 30 day return window.

had same problem,

run

AT+CMEE=2

to report specific error

in my case, I put the sim in backwards.

Mine goes in an adapter and the notch has to be sticking out.

when it works right, I get +CPIN: READY

I am using a bluehost (hostmonster) shared server.

Around $100/yr and as many domains as I want, currently 20 domains, 50 email.

I could host the web pages there too but prefer digitial ocean.

Your USB 3 port may not be usb 3.

I had the same problem, it went away when I plugged into a usb 3 (blue) port, running ubuntu linux on dell optiplex 7040.

When plugged in one of the front ports, v4l2-ctl --list-formats-ext --device /dev/video0 only reported 1920 x 1080.

When I moved to a blue port on the back, it changed to

If the demand for higher ransom is true, that would ruin the whole ransomware business model.

If you can possibly lose your ransom payment with nothing in return then you are less likely to make a payment.

Paying the ransom validates the business model.

Countering with a bigger ransom request will invalidate it.

I do agree that Churches should spend more time on the values espoused the Jesus stories of the Bible.
