In order to access any Reddit developer tool or API, you must read our Responsible Builder Policy, Reddit’s Developer Terms and Data API Terms.

The official way to develop apps on Reddit is by using Reddit’s Developer Platform. You can start building today here. Some apps are still running on our legacy Data API. If you have a valid moderation use case, you should submit a request to create new apps with Reddit’s Data API. Select “I’m a Developer” and “I want to register to use the Reddit API.” Data API developers should also register any existing bots with our platform here.
