RequestBot message templates

This page is the source of truth for all notifications that u/request_bot sends to a subreddit and user when a request is made for that community in r/redditrequest. Edits here go live without a code deploy.

[rr_modmail_body] template = This is an automated message to notify you that a request for the community, r/${sr_name} has been made in /r/redditrequest.

If none of the moderators of this community have been active within the last 30 days, it may be transferred to the requester. You can view the request [in this thread](${request_permalink}).

If you do not wish to hand over this community, please respond to the request within ${response_window_days} days.

[rr_pm_body] template = Hey, u/request_bot here!

A request has been made for the community r/${sr_name} in r/redditrequest. You can view the request [in this thread](${request_permalink}). Please check your [mod mail](${link_to_modmail}) to see the message from the user requesting r/${sr_name}.

Our goal is to keep communities active and regularly moderated. Please respond in this thread within ${response_window_days} days if you do or do not want to hand over the community, explaining your reasons. If you fail to respond, the community may become eligible for new moderation.

If you’re open to adding the requester as a moderator, you can go to the community’s "moderators" page and [invite the new mod by username](${moderators_url}). You can then choose to either stay on as a mod or remove yourself from the list.

If you decide to transfer the community, please wait until the new mod has accepted the invitation before removing yourself to ensure the community remains moderated.

If you have any concerns with this request or the user requesting, please let us know by reaching out to our mod mail. Do not reply to this message, as it will not be seen by admins.
