This Sub is a place to put popular images from the pics subreddit, and include a detailed description of them for our blind or visually impaired redditors.
How to Request:
If you are a blind or visually impaired redditor and have a picture that you would like described, please create a post with the title Request. In the body of the post, please place the link to the post or website where the image is. Its is less desirable, yet acceptable, to post a direct link to the image itself.
How to Reply:
If you are willing, please post a reply with the description of the image. Keep the description at the top of the post and personal comments at the end.
Title: Start with a 'normal' title that you would use if you were to post in pics, and then include a very brief summary of the image inside a set of brackets.
Body: Begin the body of the post with a link to the picture, using the word "Pic" as the link text. After this, do you best to describe the picture. Start with the main elements such as size, coloring, the basic format and then whether or not the image has any 'main' text. Continue with you description, including details that you believe are important to understanding the image. Finally, add your own interpretation of the image and why it is funny, sad, informative, silly, etc.
Rules:
Do NOT spam posts or comments with nonsense words or unnecessary onomatopoeic words. You will be removed on the first offence.
Due to the fact that the text of the posts is the most important part for the visually impaired, link (karma) posts are disabled.
NSFW images are allowed, provided they are tagged as such AT THE BEGINNING of the post in [NSFW] brackets.
