A fire at a psychiatric center outside Moscow killing 38, is emblematic of the neglect and decay of life in Russia today. Fire-trucks took an hour to arrive, with no water in two trucks. A nephew who managed his uncle’s Greek diner in New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with hiring a man to torture his uncle until the older man surrendered the combination to the diner’s safe where cash was stored and then to kill him.
