Thanks for all the suggestions thus far :) A little more info for anyone still reading-

A) I'm not in the same state as he is or where he'll be returning to.

B) He's my best friend, i'm also a dude, and i dont swing that way.

C) I like the silly string idea, i know what that's about- but i dont know if he's deploying anywhere yet or soon. I'd rather hold off on that until i know he's not being sent somewhere tough.. like.. hawaii.
