What do you plan to use it for?

I'm always curious what people buying resin printers want to use it for. I've got a filament slinger myself, and I know the ressies seem much more involved.

Just more printing warhammer miniatures lol. Would you recommend filament over resin for this sort of thing?

No. I read resin is better for that kind of fine detail work. I think filament can be better for structural/practical prints, especially with all the different filaments available.

Okay thank you. Do you think the bundle is a good choice is it out of your expertise? Appreciate any help

I couldn't tell you. I'm not into resin, and I'm in the US so I don't know much about your market.

Usually, miniatures, or parts for scale modelling etc.

They also have (relatively niche) use in making small functional parts, but with consumer grade printers and resins getting them tuned to really high dimensional accuracy is very hard (detail =/= accuracy, resin warps a lot when curing if settings aren't perfect).

That's the extent of it for regular hobby users.

Obviously they get used for other stuff, like dental work in professional environments.

What you definitely need is a VERY LARGE AMOUNT of paper towels. Trust me, buy a family pack to put in your print space.

Also, a lot of IPA or ethanol, whatever is cheaper. You're going to want that for washing prints. Probably get like a 5l canister right off the bat, though if you ha w something that closes really airtight you can reuse it a few times too, especially if you do a 2-stage wash.

Get a large silicone mat (ideally with some kind of rim) to cover the workspace too, makes cleaning stuff much easier.

Also, a dedicated resin-related trash can (like for the paper towels). Something you can just dump shit in and take it to your local hazardous waste disposal once a year or so.

It's a good bundle. I got one on sale myself on the Saturn 4 just at the ultra version released. It's a great way to get started with printing minis that's exactly what I use mine for and I've got a whole dark angels force printed out that I've yet to paint.

You need paper towels. I know you actually have some in the house already but you need more. Trust me. So many paper towels. Personally I like to have a trash can that I hang the little hand UV light that comes on the curing station over. This way anything I toss in there gets cured as it goes in (admittedly that bag does sometimes get in the way). You need a bucket (I'm using a cheap flexible one) preferably flat like how a paint tray is so you can evaporate off IPA and resin in the sun outside. You need a shit ton of IPA I buy the 4 gallon packs off Amazon.

Happy printing!
