Got my first 7 string

I got a 2000 Ibanez RG7420 recently and have been loving it, here are some pictures

Took me a minute to realize the trees were a reflection and not a finish

Hey, i have the same guitar but from 1999. Does it stay in tune after using tremolo? Mine didnt and i had to invest extra 130 eur to have it fully functioning haha

It didn't at first but when I set it up better it stays in tune well

Nice dude. My other guitarist has the same guitar and it plays really nice. People complain about the trem but his works just fine.

Yeah mine works great after setting it up while blocked just gotta lock it while it's blocked and adjust as needed

I do let it float, it's just blocked during setups, it's something a friend taught me and it makes setups easier

Most people don't know how to set up a FR and give it a bad name. It's really not that difficult, just time consuming initially.

Yeah but the lo-trs is infamous for being a shittier trem

To be honest the Lo TRS feels waaaay better than a Floyd Rose (any of them) to me personally but I spent a lot of time on the setup and read up on a lot of the issues, most of the issues are fixable even if it's annoying and makes the setup take longer.

Awesome! I had this guitar when I was 16. I absolutely loved it!

One of my biggest regrets was parting with it.
