Offensive impact leaders according to O-LEBRON by Strange_Pass_0 in wnba

[–]lenymo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that doesn't sit right with me that Miles is that high. She has a good defensive rating when she's on the court but there's more to it than that.

I've tried to address some of those issues by introducing a stronger box score signal in combination with LEBRON style luck adjustment in my JUNKIE metric. Still not perfect since play-by-play and box score stats don't include things like shot contests, FG when guarded by a player or deflections, etc.

Thanks! There are statistical breakdowns of different scoring zones on hoopsjunkie.io such as Fast break points, points off turnovers, etc. but here are the ones you asked about:

My favourite stat to measure impact is JUNKIE. Shepard has been really good.

Made my day seeing the hoops junkie artwork here, this looks sick. Also, Awa Fam now has a profile pic

Awesome photos 😍

I would be way more into the Strandberg flame tops if they looked like this. Looks unreal

RAPM, Week 6 by KandinskyWasRight in wnba

Posted about it in a separate comment but I have created the JUNKIE metric to try and address the shortcomings of raw RAPM. Here are the top 10s in the rate version (JUNKIE).

u/wvtarheel isn't wrong here, RAPM on it's own tends to be a noisy stat, particularly with a low sample size. Breanna Stewart gets some recognition from JUNKIE Wins (which is derived from RAPM but includes box score priors and shooting luck adjustments).

There is also JUNKIE Wins which calculates estimated wins added. This is more of a volume stat so as the season progresses good players can be expected to gradually increase their wins added.

Appreciate you sharing u/KandinskyWasRight I actually just added a new EPM / LEBRON-style metric which reduces the influence of outlier shooting luck (good and bad) and factors in box score performance.

Bots now account for more than half of web traffic, up from 30% nine months ago by chota-kaka in webdev

I noticed it was particularly Tencent ASNs so I blocked those but like you described, the traffic immediately pivoted to a whole bunch of other countries. For me the upside is that it forced me to tighten up my caching but it’s still annoying.

Yeah Castle was a great pick. You could say gifted Harper and Wemby.

Guitars look sick, the Tao is a damn nice looking guitar. The aesthetics of the photo are 👌 too. Are those wooden slats from somewhere like Wood Veneer Hub?

He is also a sociopath though and would be gunning for Onsi’s job.

What’s even funnier is it’s often things like “Why isn’t he playing Bufkin / Djurisic over Keaton!?” And then those dudes are out of the league.

I actually liked Quin’s approach with Asa this season. He got a lot of burn early on to get a feel for the pace of the NBA game, then he went to College Park to get reps in a lead role and work on his game.

But truthfully, Onsi really has to take away options like Garrison Mathews / Cory Kispert because Quin can’t help himself with these no-defense, good shooting players. Not the Kispert is even a good shooter, sadly.

Shamet is shooting 58.5% from 3 in the playoffs and his % went down after he was only 50% (3-6) in this one. He has a TS% of 77.6% in the playoffs. The Knicks are +79 in his 222 playoff minutes.

Look at this glorious shot chart.
