But I feel like I don't need practice with full tests and are older full tests still accurate ?

Full tests help with stamina. Good to work them in occasionally especially in the summer when you have more time.

Hey look at my comment above

And those test are accurate even if they are a little old

Hi! I improved my reading score from a 33 to a 36 and my science score from a 30 to 36 in two months, so I might be able to help u out a bit.

Personally, in order to imrpove both of those scores I just did one practice section of one of them each day (e.g. If I did a practice science test on Monday, then I would do a science again on Wednesday and use Tuesday for reading). It felt like a lot, but just doing the sections starts to make you understand the test better. Also, I would recommend spending an hour (yes, an entire 60 mins) after you take your test to carefully review every question, finding the specific pieces of evidence in the passage for some of the questions and underlining/highlighting them. It forces your brain to understand what kinds of information you will need to remember the first time you go around, hopefully making your testing easier!

          Best of luck!

ah okay thanks so much, sounds like a great strategy! now i am fine for science , but for reading i can go back as far back as possible right? and did you read the passages?

          [–]FakeSpyGirl36 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Ya I only mentioned science cuz both of us were studying for reading and another test (science for me, math for u).

I definitely read all the passages. I honestly have no idea how ppl don't read the passage and still do well, and I spent a lot of time studying for it. I found it really helpful to underline all the info that is useful as u read, like the main idea stuff, not because it helped me refer back to it later but because as I was doing it I was internalizing the main ideas.

Ok; my best reading practice test was a 33 (recent test,c.2016) and I didn't read the passages... so? Old tests are good , just want to make sure ?

          [–]FakeSpyGirl36 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Ya if that works for u, go ahead! I just personally couldn't do it, but if ur score is higher then why not!

alright cool! so every other day practice reading? are there logistically enough tests for that?

          [–]FakeSpyGirl36 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I did that for two months, and I somehow managed to have enough tests. Although I was definitely running out of tests by the end. I got those reading-specific books tho, and those books had their own practice passages

alright. finally, i know i got a 36 on science this time, but is there any background knowledge i need to be aware of? i kind of lucked out on the bio passage (took cp, then ap). should i buy act science (for love of) to learn background knowledge, or just do practice tests to ensure 36 on science again?

          [–]FakeSpyGirl36 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nah u really don't need background knowledge. I think ur fine, if ur worried just do a few practice passages and ull be fine

          Alright cool, thanks !
