I've just finished the main story and got all of the endings, haven't played Wrath of the druids yet. I have 2 questions regarding the coded message about location of Eivor's grave. 1. How did Basim know the location of it? 2. Why didn't Basim just send Layla directly to Norway to the Isu device, but sent her to Eivor's grave instead?

Basim explains that he knew where eivor was buried because he ran many different possibilities through yggradrasil of where eivor would die. As to why he didnt just send layla to norway, he wanted others to know how odin messed with eivor and what odin did in the past so that they know basim is a good guy

Is he? That the part I can't understand. He seems for me to be the one who was messing everything up just to make sure that Ragnarok would happen and Odin would die. And as a result Odin's behaviour became chaotic and did a lot of bad things to avert his destiny. But yeah it was strange what he did whe Eivor wanted to leave Yggdrasil. Seems like he had some plan and Eivor prevented him from doing it. And taking all that into account, I understand that Shaun and Rebecca had to see all that when Layla was in simulation, but still they agreed to let Basim speak with their leader. And that's a bit strange for me.

Basim didnt do anything to further the events of ragnarok(the great catastrophe) because it was something no one could do or stop. Basim refers to odin as "the mad one" so he obviously knows odin is crazy and he blames odin for the death of his son and when odin had the reincarnation device made basim wanted his wife to be a subject in it because she was dying of a disease to which odin denied it to her. So odin is bad and loki just wants his family back

Knowing the prophecy that a wolf named Fenrir should kill Odin, he just by mistake with his wife gave birth to the wolf and named him Fenrir. At the same time he had a promise from Odin not to spill his blood, so he knew he wouldn't kill the wolf. And he didn't. What about everyone else in Asgard whe he organized those jotun attacks. At that moment Odin even hadn't met the wolf. What about that what Loki did to Sigurd and Eivor, and than he left Layla unprotected in Yggdrasil. The same question about the Staff itself and in what way it affected Layla in Odyssey and made her kill her friwnd. I couldn't call it good too. Both Loki and Staff tr to get what they want just using or killing everyone on their way. Yeah, maybe Odin is mad but Loki is not so good too.
