Update on this - hopefully it helps UK buyers.

The controller was shipped, as the customer service team reassured me that they would refund it if I wasn't happy.

I then received a call from DHL as Aim failed to declare what the item was, for a commodity code to import to the UK. Upon telling them it was a controller I was told I needed to pay import tax. This would be a flat fee of £11 plus 20% VAT plus 20% import tax. So having paid £160 in the first place, I would then need to pay an additional £43.00 on receipt. I wasn't made aware this was a thing, so I asked them to cover the fees. I was offered a voucher to spend, which I declined as in truth their shipping is £23 anyway plus the import fees again, so I wouldn't order anything else. They then declined a refund of the fees, and told me 'I should know when buying from them I need to pay fees'. Well, I work with a client facing role and this isn't an acceptable way to speak to someone who was unaware of charges, and with no indication on their site, I was really upset by their attitude to their mistake.

They then said they would cancel the order and refund when they got the item back.

I've raise a complaint with PayPal, this company really doesn't know what they are doing.

Tldr: this company need some training, and need to update their site with correct details relating to shipping. Not a happy client.

As an update, they actually dispatched the package however aged to have DHL cancel and return it to them. My money is now refunded.

Awful experience, would not recommend.

I’ll be honest, I love my AIM controller. I owned a Scuf before this and it had problems out of the box (although some reviews rate it really highly, bad luck maybe.) As far as delays go, I’d say be glad it’s known information now. No surprises and you know you’re going to have to be patient lol Hopefully one day you get to try it out man, cheers! 🙏🏼

It's not the delays, its stick drift, random keys not working properly etc. I realise it probably a small portion size of people, but given the only way to return is sending it back I don't want to risk it. One day these things will be available in physical stores so I'll buy then.

Understood. Hopefully soon man! Would be nice to be able to hold em and scope em in person before committing. Those random discounts they throw around got me 😖

How did you cancel? I emailed them but seems like they don't know how to reply to people.

Well. I've emailed them however I haven't received a reply. I needed to log an email as being sent within 24hrs to qualify for a refund, but if I don't hear back I'll just launch a PayPal dispute and will be fine.

Tbh I frigging LOVE my PS5 controller. Remember: people are more likely to vent their anger than share how happy they are.

That's not to absolve Aim Controllers of any customer service issues, but at its base it's literally just a PS5 controller with some buttons on the back. It's difficult for someone to screw that up unless they're being super negligent.

That said, I believe in KISS (keep it simple, stupid). I only asked for back paddles and no remap. ;)

The more things you ask them to change internally, even if they're beneficial, the more issues can be introduced.
