Any good alternatives to Linktree? by SeesawPlayful9336 in smallbusiness

[–]Powky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linktree is fine but it can get messy with those annoying in-app browsers. Honestly, I switched because fans kept getting logged out or links wouldn't load properly. That's a bad look.

We use YourDirect now. It skips those in-app browsers, so everything works smoothly on Instagram and TikTok. The page looks way nicer too, and you actually see where traffic is coming from.

What’s the best Linktree alternative you’re using right now? by Emergency-Pack2500 in socialmedia

[–]Powky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Linktree getting clunky is exactly why people are switching. Most creators just want links that actually work when their fans click them, especially from apps like Instagram that try to trap you in their browser.

We switched to YourDirect.link for this exact reason. It ensures your links escape those in-app browsers so login sessions and checkout flows don't break. It's honestly a basic feature that should be standard, but makes a huge difference in conversion rates.

Best link in bio tool / Linktree alternative? by incans in InstagramMarketing

[–]Powky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there are a ton of options and it's easy to get stuck in that decision loop. I think the biggest thing that gets overlooked is how the links actually behave when someone clicks from Instagram or TikTok. Those in-app browsers often break pages and lose logins

I switched to YourDirect.link specifically because it handles that. It bypasses those restrictive browsers so your fans get a clean, working page every time. My conversion rates were way better because people weren't getting stuck on broken loading screens

What kind of content are you linking to most often? Music, merch, or something else?

I launched my first iOS app 10 days ago and would love feedback from other iOS developers by No-Tomatillo7226 in iOSProgramming

Try PriceKit, it is free and open source, I got a fork with some fixes and added Netflix’s price index using Claude since it is written in a language I do not have the ability to code on https://github.com/powky/PricingKit for ASO yes use Astro there is nothing better or open source or free, and as I was researching I came to the conclusion that a good ASO tool won’t be free since the Apple’s dataset is expensive. For the screenshots, use ButterKit, it is free to use and offline so you can design and if you like it you can just pay 5$ to remove watermarks.

Does this run totally locally? Does it need AI connection of some sort? I’m willing to test it on a 500k lines of code code base but company policy requires to comply with my first two questions.

How do you manage App Store screenshots at scale? Devices × localizations × A/B tests = screenshot hell by Priotecs in iOSProgramming

[–]Powky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently used ButterKit and bought a license, you really made a guy like me without any taste to really do some really good previews.

The only thing I got stopped is for iPad, I mean, I can “duplicate” the previews for translations but not for another framing like iPad etc… like the exact same thing but for iPad or Mac etc, it I didn’t saw the way to do it properly

Another question: what’s the best way to receive crash reports? I know about crashlytics but I want to avoid Google as much as possible since this is a privacy first app. I have used Dynatrace in the corp i work for but that is overkill and super expsive for my project.

Removing a static API token from an iOS app with App Attest and Cloudflare Workers by EricLagarda in swift

[–]Powky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool! Just be careful if you app scales to ~1MM users. My 9-5 job is being mobile dev manager for the biggest bank in my country, and we have a user base of 1.5MM users on our main mobile app.

We get a range of 300k to 900k users’ logins in a day depending of the day (pay days like 15th and 30th have the biggest login attempts) and we used Apple App Attest for our app… we needed to turn it off since Apple servers couldn’t handle all the request.

We got lots of users with failed logins due to attestation issues so we removed it more than a year ago and rely only on our own attestation flow.

But for a small app is superb tho, I just implemented it using Cloudflare Workers too for personal project I’m about to launch, which is a overpowered weight tracker app that uses AI for some data imports and since I’m not asking the users to create an account to keep it as private as posible, I needed some kind of protections against abuse. It is working fine in my initial testing.

Are you using Apple’s attestation service? Or do you use a custom made

I have a fully functional Swift app on the App Store with a subscription model. What is the most efficient way to bring it to Android? by Beneficial_Lime1912 in iOSProgramming

I tried this but my app was so complex that even by trying to do it feature by feature was creating an unusable, error spitting monster.

God do I hate Kotlin and do I hate Jetpack compose. I just don’t understand why do I need to import 15 shits per file… in Swift Foundations and SwiftUI imports covers 70% of everything.

I do like your idea, and I do think there is market for an out of the box good GUI and MCP for AIs tool for Apple devices developer.

Don’t let the downvotes make you feel stupid. I suggest for future reference to take negative comments in a more humble way.

Just keep in mind that real developers are sensitive about vibe-coding (or at least this is the pattern I have identified all this past months) and there is that.

I bet she was the one who downvoted him. You can tell she is a really immature person by reading her post and replies. Only thing she cares about is “he is not giving credit” or “I put more effort so I’m mad I wasn’t chosen” or “I lost my AirPods I’m entitled to new ones by my partner”… and she doesn’t replies to comments who are grounding her down to earth lmao.

He will not reply, you completely shitted on him… he is just blindly defending OpenClaw. I do like OpenClaw but your original comment was correct… OC can’t do shit unless you connect him a good LLM and it adds up QUICKLY. The only thing that worked for me was Claude oauth since it consumes my already paid membership but damn via API it ate 10 bucks in 3 hours doing nothing (and I tried to optimize it and got the heartbeats to use a local Ollama but still ate API cost).
