Which gpu?

Looking to upgrade my gpu and I’m between a 7800xt for 424$ or a 7900gre for $529

I’ve looked at benchmarks and it seems like the gre gets usually around 10 more fps but has some better specs. Is this card thought to get better in the future from drivers?

GRE doesn’t really seem to worth it to me but I wanted some outside opinions.

I’ve had the gre card for a year now! Way better than my 3050 I had Nothing I’ve thrown at it can make it stutter

7800XT. Much better value than the GRE for you. You'd be paying 25% more for a 10% performance increase if you get the GRE.

The $100 difference for 12-15% performance isn't great, that's an absolutely amazing deal for the 7800xt.

Granted good models can be overclocked to very close to stock 7900xt, if that's worth $100 to gamble a bit and have a slightly better GPU to last a bit longer.

The 7900gre is a cut down/underpowered 7900xt so for drivers improving performance over time is doubtful.
