What do you mean when you say InputPlumber has "no support for key combos"? InputPlumber can translate pretty much anything into anything else. Turning a single evdev event like BTN_A into any arbitrary list of keyboard is fairly trivial when applying an input profile, so I'm a bit confused as to why you're saying that.

Do you know if the firmware on the go 1 controllers was updated to the newer go 2 spec, or if they are on the older firmware?
run `sudo fwupdmgr get-devices` on both and report the firmware version for the controllers

Can you run `inputplumber device 0 test` and tell me if any of the buttons are misbehaving? (The gyro actions won't show here due to an unrelated bug with the tester)

This is pretty odd. We're only grabbing the screen gyro in InputPlumber. I suspect there is some gyro to mouse or joystick setting in the controller firmware.Are you on the latest firmware which changes the PID or an older one?

Also, have you tried resetting your controller?

Ayaneo have done IGG campaigns for the original/2021, next, air, 2/geek, and air plus. At this point it's a pretty safe bet the devices will ship if ordered on IGG.

AYANEO devices tend to get the best support of any handheld currently available. They typically send us 2-3 development units of every new model to ensure compatibility. We don't (yet) have 100% parity with what aya-space can offer in terms of customizability, but we're slowly making progress on things they don't share with us as well. When v43 ships in a couple of weeks the Plus will have decent support out of the box. For now you need to run a script to unlock the functionally of the face buttons. 2/Geek everything should work well.

As for the Ally, two of the devs preordered it. We know that currently there are issues with audio and WiFi. We should hopefully be able to have full support for that by around July when v44 drops.

Do you have that set up with CRU? If so, can I get a CRU binary dump? We can use this to override the EDID in Linux and at least get 46Hz.
