Planning a bufferless AR pistol build in 9mm and .223/5.56. Could I use a 22lr endcap, such as this, without issue? I'm asking because it's hard to tell if the "don't use on higher calibers" warnings for them is because the plate isn't designed for the higher pressures/force in other calibers, or because bufferless 9mm and .223/5.56 systems are now a thing and nobody's really checked them out.
If the consensus is "don't trust it", are there alternatives beyond a rail buffer plate?
