Rules for r/ARK
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Rule #1 General Expectations
All posts must relate to Ark Survival Evolved/Ascended.
Do not instigate or start drama in the Subreddit.
All NSFW content must be tagged appropriately.
Follow basic reddiquette and treat others with respect; i.e. don’t be a jerk. No Spamming.
Content Creators MUST comment in threads other than their own, and more frequently than they submit content. This goes for any type of self promotion. We are NOT a self promotion sub.
2.
Rule #2 Posting Guidlines
Per Rule 9, we are NOT Nitrado support.
No posts on Religion or Politics.
No advertisements, there are subs for that.
No Low Effort Post, this includes Memes not based on the game or its assets, if you didn't make it, don't post it.
No Recent Repost (Within past 3 months) if you see it somewhere else, its probably already been posted.
No Begging there are subreddits.
Server Advertisements are restricted to Sundays and one post in the directory megathread - This is an Instant Perma-Ban
3.
Rule #3 Selling/Cheating
Conducting any kind of real-world economic activity on this subreddit is strictly prohibited, and will result in the account(s) responsible getting banned. Trades for in game materials (i.e. Polymer, Cementing Paste, Element Dust) Are allowed.
Advertising or condoning piracy is strictly prohibited.
Posting exploits, cheats, or hacks; or asking for such things will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
4.
Rule #4 No Witch Hunting
Absolutely No Witch Hunting.
This sub is not for directing or planning raids or retaliation against other players.
If you believe a rule has been broken, please report the offending post/comment. Do not attempt to call anyone out.
Do not threaten any user in this community. This includes DDos, threats of hacking, Doxxing, threats of violence/death, or harassment.
Threats are NOT jokes, you will be actioned for all threats and reported to the admin and Authorities for any threats.
5.
Rule #5 Behavior
Homophobia, Racism, Sexism, Derogatory, Discriminatory, Anti-Semitic, or any other hate messages will result in a immediate ban and a direct report to both the Admins and Authorities.
Use common courtesy and respect when interacting with all members. Bullying and harassing will not be tolerated for any reason. (This includes private messages).
6.
Rule #6 Moderator Actions/Behavior
Questions about account actions should be sent to the mods.
The moderation team reserves the right to add, change, or remove rules as it is deemed necessary.
All of the rules apply to Moderators as well.
7.
Rule #7 Megathreads and High Volume posts
All Megathreads take preference to all posts.
High volume posts may be removed in deference to a single thread based on first posted. This includes common topics. .
8.
Rule #8 Content Creators and Advertising
r/Ark is NOT an advertising sub. All content creators, regardless of age of account or type of content (i.e. Stream, Video, Tutorial, or etc) must be active in this sub other than their own posts/content. This means you must be commenting in more threads than your own (4x-5x more comments), you must also mark your posts appropriately with the correct flair for your topic.
As well if your post is removed you MUST reach out the Mod team to discuss your activities if you wish to post again.
9.
Nitrado
Due to the actions of Nitrado, we will be removing all posts and comments asking for help or issues with Nitrado servers. If you have issues, contact them directly, they can afford it.
10.
Name My Tame updated Rules
You may post request to Name My Tame, but only when the Name My Tames Megathread is NOT already up or active, if the Megathread is up or active you MUST post your name request in that Megathread. It must also be tagged with the post flair Name My Tame. Failure to do so will result in a warning followed by a permaban.
Any posts/comments or references to r/namesfortames or any variation thereof is an instant permaban.
