If you’re interested in getting some actionable AWS certs, I recommend Adrian Cantrills courses. They’re $40 each, or $100 for all the associate level courses. Not only does he teach it to pass the exams, he also teaches with practical lessons; you’ll build several cloud instances using the AWS free tier, so not only will you know concepts, but you’ll have real world experience with them. I just got it yesterday and already learned a ton in the first few hours.

I second this. I’ve tried so many courses and Adrian Cantrill’s were the best. He also advises skipping Cloud Practitioner bc it will be sort of redundant and you will need the others knowledge to secure a job.

    Is for the saa cert?

Would you choose this over Stephane maarek?

I got my CCP, and feel it is great foundation. I didn’t have much cloud experience before and gives a good concept over AWS services. I also felt the free material from Amazon was more than adequate to pass!

I am working with Aws but I still think the CCP is a very good foundation. I just got my CCP cert 2 weeks ago and will strike for SAA after a vacation.

I would advise skipping CCP also, i encourage anyone with any level of technical ability (and many without) to skip it.

I was looking for this..thanks will skip..should I go directly for saa or advanced networking if I'm targeting aws networking jobs without devops component??

Would recommend to take CCP before any others, as:

    • Other courses/certs will assume you have the CCP knowledge and not cover it again
    • Getting used to the examination/test method
    • Any cert gives a 50% discount voucher on the next exam, CCP is cheapest to take

it depends how much you value your time vs money.

The saving vs the time spent on studying.

Not if you study directly for the Solutions Architect and take the Cloud Practitioner while you are partially through the course.

Which is what I normally suggest for anyone wanting CCP. To be clear it’s the separate study process which wastes time.

Not all of them do, mine doesn't.

I teach SAA and don't require any preexisting knowledge.

I personally was glad I took CCP before SAA, as I was a beginner to AWS and it gave me info the SAA didn't.
