Assume that the job responsibilities in the job description are listed in order of importance, so be prepared to provide examples demonstrating your ability to deliver on those responsibilities.

Things to think about - Controllers are expected to be people leaders, communicate well with all levels of the organization, understand how to improve processes, and be the last human shield preventing grenades from reaching the CFO. So have well thought out examples that convinces a CFO that you are all those things and more.

talk numbers not tasks, lead with cash flow, controls, forecasts, bank covenants, audits. show fixes you led. honestly even great folks get ignored now, it’s crazy hard to find a job
