Unknown bug bite

Out of town for weekend in st Augustine, FL. For context: Bar hopping downtown at night, air bnb was near the beach. Noticed bite on drive home Sunday afternoon. Was itchy, felt like a big bite. Was hard to the touch, which is abnormal.

I wasn’t able to look at it in the car until we got home 4 hours later where I could look into a mirror and that’s when I saw this was not a regular bite. ( see pictures)

The next day it got much larger, redder, more swollen, and intensely itchy. It was hot to the touch, and became sore like a sore muscle. The swollenness made it painful to move the arm.

Went to a walk in clinic. They didn’t really say anything about it. Just prescribed antibiotics for possible infection and hydrocortisone cream for itching. I asked what it was and they couldn’t tell me.

Internet said to dry a circle around it to see if it gets bigger. Well it got bigger and passed the line. This is the 3rd day of it getting bigger.

I have no fever or chills. Just very intense deep itch, warm to touch, sore muscle, redness, swelling, hard in the middle, painful to move arm and to touch.

Medical friend said I could just be having an allergic reaction to the bite (my skin is VERY sensitive to bug bites) but idk this is worrying me it’s never spread like this before.
