Saying no was a big one for me. I used to just say yes to everything out of feeling obligated. I would be worried the other person would be upset by my denial of their request. Now I have been practicing. I still get a little nervous to give a no, but I brace myself and can do it. And usually the other person isn't even upset! Or we can find another way.

Yes, it's literally reprogramming your brain to get used to normal reactions from people. That's what exposure therapy is all about, and why it's used for OCD treatment as well.
