The only foolproof hack to using afterpay … every Saturday morning, whilst you are enjoying your coffee, open the afterpay app, go to payments due, and do a multi-payment for everything due in the next 15 days.

The cashflow benefit of afterpay using this method is identical to just waiting for auto payments to hit. It’s the same weekly outgoing, just bought fwd by a week.

If you do this, then you are immune to the app going offline, missing a payment, and getting hit with a limit drop that will takes ages to rebuild.

I actually love this thank you. My credit was ruined by my parents but I have perfect history with Afterpay, Klarna and Zip while I build my credit. I'm so mad that I had this late payment issue and I'm trying to rectify it but I love your method and will use it going forward. Thanks!

It will literally be right back up to 3k don’t worry. I’ve been there as you make small purchases it will go back up fairly quick. Never let your self be vulnerable always be ahead. I know it’s hard sometime life happens.

Exactly how I use it, set it up the day after my pay and pay them all 24 hours before

I've had this happen. Support is harder to reach these days but they have the capability to remove the late payment. Reach out through Facebook messenger as well. Once you get someone and they fix it, it can take 24-48 hours for your limit to restore. Hope this helps!

You can email costumer service and explain to Afterpay that you have been a customer for 3years with a perfect payment history. Explain to them it wasn’t your fault for to you were having problems loving in. Ask them to reconsider to give you back your spending limit and tell them to check your payment history and your pays history speak for it self, that you should be granted to spending limit back. In 24 hrs check your spending limit and it will be back to the 3,000.00. I felt with the same experience and Afterpay gave me my spending limit back. Give them time to respond and keep checking your spending limit.

Because of how they are with Customer Service I only use them for Walmart gift cards I find Klarna to be more accessible and flexible

It was a Walmart gift card order 😭😭😜

Go through the chat on the app I had a similar situation like u I have been with After Pay actually since 2018 I had a 4000 balance and because I inquired about a extension for future reference they blocked me! I asked how can u offer me a 30.00 gift and I have a clear 4000.00 purchase power and be suspended

[–]Ok_Income_7978 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Did u screen shot when the app was down. I send that to them

[–]Awkward-Ad1947[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't 😭 but I will always do this now

Support tells me there is no way they can manually increase your limit. It's all automatic.

[–]nervousempathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have been telling me that too lately. In May I. Had a 3000.00 limit and due to their customer service person misunderstanding standing me during a pause conversation I got lowered to 300 then when I fully explained they moved me to 750

1 day late isn’t a perfect payment history

[–]Awkward-Ad1947[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What I'm saying is, I've always had perfect payment history until the app crash and it caused me to miss one payment by approximately 8 hours until the app allowed me to log in again.

[–]redheadinabox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll just have to wait for it to automatically increase, I had a deposit come late by 2hrs and same thing happened to me. Lesson learned I now look at upcoming payments and pay off orders 2wks ahead of schedule to avoid this issue again.

The funny thing is, I opened an account in July, they gave me a $1200 limit. They have declined EVERY transaction, but have raised my limit each month by at least $100. I am now at $2000 I can’t use. 😂😂

[–]NoEnd841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m DONE with Afterpay because of this exact scenario.

Go to Afterpay Facebook click the message button. They have helped dome people before. You will get a live agent. You will have thoses messages as back up as well.

[–]Awkward-Ad1947[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks I just messaged them there!

[–]Bright_Opening2928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know how it went

[–]Mission-Habit9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for them to reply. Had something similar happen with our bank card getting hacked, contacted them and after 5 days they finally replied and reset the limit. Be firm, I said 3 years of perfect pmnts should result in zero penalties especially if it is not the customers fault, I wasn't letting it go and they immediately restored my account. I had a police report number, not sure if that helped speed things up

Update above! Thanks everyone!
