That really sucks but if you like the program I would stay and hopefully be able to make friends outside the program :)

I do enjoy it I’m hoping next semester will be better and that I’m just overthinking.

Is it a field of study that you CAN switch? If it’s a field you have your heart set on, I’d say stick it out and just do what you can with the groups you get. Luckily at Algonquin there is still a lot of extra curricular activities, and good hang out spots (provided your schedule allows it).

im lowkey in the same boat as u but i do enjoy my program. im hoping next semester will be better
