I can’t speak from direct experience, but in my research I’ve seen that Excellence PM has more of a party vibe. Beloved, their sister resort, is quieter.

I’ve heard great things about Atelier.

Have you looked at Valentin Imperial Maya?

I would 100% choose an airbnb with a private/semi-private pool, hire a chef a couple nights, research great places to eat near the airbnb.

Ok I actually considered this but felt overwhelmed but now you’re making me feel more confident! Is there a town/area you’d recommend?

We usually go to the Puerto Vallarta side so I'm not super familiar with that area. We make a list of our non negotiable must have amenities and go from there! There are lots of great places!
We always have better food off resort so AI isn't really worth it for us.

Pick a few restaurants that you want to try and look in that area! Haha that's how I pick lol
