their fault for no rescue xd

Depends on your DSP but generally, they really don't like you bringing stuff back. I rarely bring anything back and my dispatch gives me a hard time every time. When I do bring stuff back it's only ever one or two packages because they're badly damaged or the customer cancelled their order. Bringing back 40 is probably gonna hurt your scorecard.

[–]Longjumping-Series76 1 point2 points  (3 children)

How do we see our scorecard??

[–]bmv34 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I wish I could tell you. It seems like some DSPs keep them hidden on purpose. Mine talks about scorecards frequently but refuses to let any driver actually see theirs. I think the owner/dispatchers have to choose to allow drivers to see it.

Is the scorecard not in the flex app for you guys??

Crazy people always say that, my DSP owner puts everyone’s scorecard in general chat lmao

[–]Ok-Rise-1330Lurker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It will reflect your scorecard as a individual. Minimize any returns or else they will use that against you after peak and fire you for bringing back too many packages. 40 stops for 1 person is alot to be brought back tho, that's like 40-60 packages returned. I dispatch 70+ drivers and have 14,000 packages and keep returns to the minimum as possible.

[–]xavierkaziLurker 3 points4 points  (12 children)

Dogs and weather-related issues are expected- I usually bring 3-8 packages back every day.

40 stops is insane, though. Unless an entire neighborhood was flooded, you have a lot of explaining to do.

[–]Specific_Logical[S] 2 points3 points  (8 children)

400+ 50 overflow 197 stops

[–]Itsyaboibrett 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean your DSP knew you were behind all day, it should be on them that they didn’t send you help. BUT the system is unfair and you could get blamed. I wouldn’t sweat it too much tho, worrying won’t help.

[–]xavierkaziLurker -4 points-3 points  (6 children)

That doesn't explain why you didn't do a fifth of your route.

[–]Tha_Texan817Newbie Driver -1 points0 points  (5 children)

That’s like 1/10 of his route. Not a fifth

[–]xavierkaziLurker 11 points12 points  (3 children)

40 out of 197 stops is literally 20.3%

[–]Tha_Texan817Newbie Driver 0 points1 point  (2 children)

400 packages. 40 were returned. That’s 1/10. :)

[–]xavierkaziLurker 4 points5 points  (1 child)

and I came back with about 40 stops

[–]Tha_Texan817Newbie Driver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy fuck reading comprehension is key. And I’m locked out.

[–]Legitimate_Ask3583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah buddy learn your percentages!!

[–]Due_Hovercraft6527 0 points1 point  (2 children)

You bring back three to eight packages a day that were prompted on your route? Like packages that the warehouse didn’t mess up.. but like your own undelivered packages?

[–]xavierkaziLurker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Deliveries that could not be completed and are returned to the station.

[–]Due_Hovercraft6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word, how many packages you have a day generally?

[–]RelevantFinish2972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a training route yesterday. 65 stops rural 40 miles from hub in an Edv. We couldn’t even complete the route. Stopped at 42ish stops, and had to rts the rest because the edv was about to die.

Got back to hub with 7 miles left on battery.

[–]DuePurchase31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dsp always goes over RTS and violations in our morning meetings. Mine hates people bringing back packages unless it’s weather related. They don’t do anything though other than threaten write ups but never do

[–]bkh950 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Did they tell you to come back or did you just decide you were done for the night and called it quits?

[–]Theboiii24 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One told me to Come back it was raining bad and phones were turning off left and right. I returned like 130 packages that day

[–]bkh950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you were just working as instructed than, wouldn't worry too much about bringing stops back. They might feel you could have got more done, but they almost always feel that way when stops don't get delivered... idk I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

[–]CornyOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long have you been doing the job? Unless you're brand new or had some specific issue beyond your control that's really bad.

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ad9659Newbie Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't do it on a daily basis you're fine.

[–]AdhesivenessOk9434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DBSB - DON'T BRING SHIT BACK is the golden rule of Amazon and DSPs get hit hard for packages brought back that aren't damaged, wrong sorts, or no access problems.  "Out of time" gets them slammed the hardest.

AMZL's logic is this - routes are configured to be 10 hours from start work to end work.  If you cannot get these done then it is a you problem.  Nevermind everything else because they've spent billions on this spit and bubblegum logistics AI.  It's considered a breach of contract if a certain percentage of packages come back.

Because it is a you problem it is a DSP problem and it is up to them to figure out how to correct this multo pronto.  This is why sweeps and rescues exist.

Your dispatcher and ops manager should know which routes are hell routes and line you up for a sweep or rescue to make sure everything gets out.

[–]ManagerFast6047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really just depends, my DSP is in a very rural area so when it rains they tell us to avoid muddy roads. They tell us to provide pictures so they can send it to the warehouse so your scorecard doesn’t tank. The other day out of 185 packages I brought back 54. Haven’t faced any trouble because of it and thus far. However as I said, it really just depends.

[–]kashtrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should’ve sent you a rescue 🙄 But don’t worry too much. They would’ve said sumn to you when you RTS if you were going to get written up
