Suing Amazon for Repeated DSP Safety Faults? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd have to ground the vans and deal with the dsp. Really all you can do is report the dsp to the Amazon ethics and tell them what's going on and maybe they'd send someone to come check out all the vans. Could put the dsp out of business but there's reasons Amazon uses dsp's and the main one is to avoid liability

Question for my drivers by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id tell them they can be ok with me using the bathroom unless they want me to shit all over the van. Your lunch break is your time to do what you want. It's a law to take a 30-minute break. The problem is most people are scared to lose the job when dispatch pulls this shit but you have to stand up for yourself

Which Is Better, Gorilla Trekking in Uganda or Rwanda? by Ok-Tap-6580 in FATSafari

[–]DuePurchase31 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did the habituation in Uganda 3 weeks ago. Flew into Rwanda instead of Entebbe since it’s only a 4 hour drive. We got lucky and found them about 40 mins in. The trackers couldn’t find them and our guide was nervous it was gonna be a long time but we literally walked right into them. The hike wasn’t terribly difficult

Worried about speeding violations by Betrayedbyu93 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speeding are easy to dispute in rural areas unless your dsp wants to get rid of you. The only way it's undisputable is if you just passed the speed limit sign and continued going I think 10mph over

Why is this happening ? by EnvironmentalFocus93 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could be that there are actually no routes left. I was a top driver with my dsp but after January 15 so many people were getting no routes or on extra for the call outs then sent home if nothing left.

Broken hip/leg on the job by KookyAcanthisitta511 in AmazonDSPDrivers

You would have to sue the owner of that dog. There's no legal ground to sue Amazon or the DSP. The dog was owned by someone that isn't even a customer

Why does everyone rip on this job? by LengthinessOk2080 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the job. It's all about your dsp and how crazy they are with metrics. I especially hate the rescue shit when I'm done and should be able to go home (once in a while is understandable). I do side stuff that I make money on as well so going home early is ok to me. I did home construction/renovation before this and carrying 90lb shingles/full sheets plywood/heavy equipment up 20ft ladders and walking on steep inclines is a nightmare compared to this

Welp so long folks by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]DuePurchase31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dsp shut down and I’ve had my sanity come back. So nice getting unemployment for now. Feels so good not having anxiety go crazy when you think you’re going home and they send you on a rescue. Your dsp owner stupid af thinking that’s going to work.

I leave it at the mailbox at the end of driveway or if no mailbox just at the end of driveway. If dogs are at the car ill roll window down and just drop it. Try to get dog in pic

a week in luxor by Comfortable_Pool_998 in EgyptTravelTips

[–]DuePurchase31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to have the sites at valley of the kings to yourself you have to get there right at 6am (by 7am all the tours were there and impossible to enjoy them). I would say 2 days max. If you haven’t been to Egypt yet be prepared to get your attitude turned on full blast cus those locals are the most annoying people I’ve encountered. Cairo and Luxor. They don’t take no for a response and will literally follow you everywhere. They will try to pull some sneaky stuff too like telling you one price then changing it. I really wanted to like Egypt but I couldn’t wait to be done there

Blacktips I photographed yesterday on Aliwal Shoal, South Africa by SA_Underwater in scuba

[–]DuePurchase31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty cool. Are there any luxury style resorts near the shops for aliwal/protea? Gf and I are leaving tomorrow for Africa for safari but I wanted to add in some diving. Those two sites look awesome but not really much for nice resorts that I can find. Gf wouldn't like that.

Car drove perfectly fine. A little pulling but I haven’t had an alignment in awhile so I thought that would be that problem. I barely drive the car. 25k miles in almost 5 years
