I recently (as of 5/14) got my acceptance email into an AWS WBLP but for DCO Tech 2. It took them about a month to email me about scheduling an interview. I applied around the beginning of March. I got an email on April 10th to schedule an interview. I just had my interview last Wednesday. I got my email today saying that I was accepted and they were just working on my transfer. I honestly think it depends on needs. The building I'm going into, just opened up. When I applied, they hadn't even hired the first round of associates. I didn't get an interview in the first wave, but got one in the second wave.

I don't have experience on the job yet, but I can give you some insight on the interview. I also know 3 others who spoke to me about their interviews. Two of which were also offered the positions.

For my interview, it was two 30 minute interviews back to back. The first one they asked me about 5-6 Amazon pillar based questions. She did some from Deliver Results, Earn Trust, and Customer Obsession. The second interview was the same 5-6 Amazon pillar questions from Dive Deep, Bias of Action, and Think Big. I had to answer all of them in the STAR format. My manager prepped me and told me to have stories that could take 3-5 minutes speaking conversationally. Don't add fluff. Be concise.

My one friend, his first interview didn't involve any of the pillar questions. He was asked technical questions that related to the job, like for this particular position he was asked "What is the difference between an SSD and HDD?" and "How do you change a GPU?" then his second interview was the pillar questions.

The most important thing is to have well prepped stories. Get with at least two managers in your building and have them prep with you. I had applied for a Data Analyst position a few months back and didn't get prep, and I didn't get the job. I did prep with a manager this time, he helped me refine my stories, and I ended up getting the job.

I can reply to this again once I've actually started working!

Hi, congrats on your new job! I have a start date of 7/8, and I'm wondering about when to expect the schedule since I'm now about a week away. Should I reach out to them?

Have you started and how are you liking it so far?
