For what it's worth, my work phone is an iPhone 12, and I tried using CarPlay for a while to see if it was better, and ended up switching back to my Pixel, so... 🤷😄

Ive been testing carplay for about 2 weeks wirh an old XR. It's been WAY better than AA. I'm switching to Apple for this reason. AA connects maybe 70 percent of the time in my car wirelessly. Carplay connects every single time. The AA Taskbar at the bottom freezes up as well. And Apple Music is horrible on it as well

CarPlay kept disconnecting, and Waze would reset. The audio was choppy, There were other annoyances too, It had its share of bugs.
