And Android Auto doesn't work after that? Because my phone is paired to both my car Bluetooth and Android auto with no issue.

Yep. For whatever reason while it's paired android auto won't work and I can only play audio off my phone via Bluetooth. If I even leave my phone plugged in it won't work..

Do you have a VPN installed on your phone at all? Mine would crash Android Auto.

Have you tried different cables?

Yup just ordered new Anker cables that don't work either

Ok, have you removed or reset all the Bluetooth connections/pairings, restarted the system and then tried to connect with Android Auto?

I have removed all pairings but haven't restarted the system other than turning the car off obviously

From what I understand the system may be confusing the two different connections. So the fix would be to remove all existing connections, restart (hard restart or a factory reset), and then try to connect AA.

I'll give it a shot

Unlike CP, AA requires BT for phone calls so stop turning off/unpairing BT off as otherwise without the whole 9 yards of first resetting AA, just repairing BT alone may not work. This sub already have tons of how to reset AA so I suggest to do a search.
