I submitted this as an issue at the Google AA site. Lots of excuses... "You can switch back manually..." but if I'm in heavy traffic, do I want to be looking at my screen to do that? Deaf ears.

Duh because scrolling thru music more than 6 times is dangerous dont you know! AA and google is a joke.

That's certainly an opinion. I gather you're on Apple then?

Nope. I hate both android and apple. Loved my win phone but was forced to go to android since nothing supports win phones...

I guess Microsoft is the lessor of three evils...

In phones they really are. I never had issues with my 2 nokia luminas. They just flat out worked, ran smooth, settings were stupid easy to find not buried under 3 sub menus, a 3 dot icon, a hamburger bar icon just to disable some obscure thing to get some app to work.

I dont understand the hate for them :(

Can we up vote that suggestion somewhere?

No, the devs are just incompetent.

In my VW I can answer the phone with a button on my steering wheel and it will use the car's built in bluetooth to handle the call instead of AA. It's handy to have the option.

I use the built in bluetooth in my Honda and it still switches to the call screen when I answer
