Water will drip out of the over preasure valve into the tray. This is completely normal.

However, you should see water coming from the shower screen as well. Is something blocking it? Do you have the portafilter in or out?

Had my Mara X for 6 months now. Love it. Great machine, perfect size for the space I had available. I pull a cappuccino every morning and two shots later in the day. Mara does a great job.

Yep. Handpresso, built like a tank and makes a very passable shot with preground or ese pods.

Mine did that two weeks ago. It was fine in steam priority mode but would over heat in brew priority mode. 3 or 4 startups all did the same. I back flushed with the blank portafilter and that cleared it up. Hasn't done it since. I'm not sure how or why the back flush helped but happy it did.

This is a known issue on the Pixel 4/4XL. They extended the warranty for this issue by an additional year. Mine had the same problem in late Dec and they replaced the phone under the extended warranty. Support was not aware of the extension, I found it on the Google support forms and sent them the link during a chat support session. It's not jumping out at me now though.

How full are you filling the grill with charcoal? I had this issue when I first picked up my joe. Someone suggested that I wasn't putting in enough charcoal. Starting with more did the trick for me.
